AMBASSADOR (LEAD CAR) SPECIAL:

An ambassador special has been created to augment those that that have the opportunity to travel and wish to share the Portland 500 Chapter to the entire Ham population. It is called the Lead Car  Special. To achieve this award you must record 10 contacts while you are:

a.) Mobile anywhere or
b.) Using a fixed or temporary location outside your home county. 

10 points will be awarded to those you give your Lead Car special out over the air when you are operating under the same conditions that it was awarded, once per calendar month. To claim the lead car special, Claimants must record your county and state when you tell them the lead car seal number.


I.E. March 3,1999, Lead Car#3, Multnomah County, OR, W6NCK, P500# 14LHCM.


To obtain a lead car number:

Talk to 10 Portland 500 members while mobile from anywhere  or while operating from A fixed station outside of your home county.

Fill out the form below, or send list to CM (Ron at portland500@portland500.com ), or mail the list to the following address.

Please include, Your Callsign, Your Portland 500 basic number, Date of the contact, Callsign of contact, Portland 500 basic number of the contact and County you were in when contact was made.

All 10 contacts do not have to be made on the same day.  They do not have to be mobile or portable, only you. Take your time and make it a fun outing.
