Founded in February 1999. The chapter currently has over 589 members world wide. We hope you have fun earning your seals and awards as you race around the 10 meter band.

Chapter Goals:  The Primary Goal of the Portland 500 Chapter is to  give an incentive for Amateur Radio Operators to use the 10 meter  band even during low sun spot activity. A secondary goal is  to have fun in our common hobby.

Chapter Theme:  The theme of Portland 500 is centered on the activities of an  Auto Race circuit. Specials will attempt to re-enforce the theme.  Suggestions for specials are welcomed from any member and will be  considered.
